Emmanuel Naebei Emerges Winner of #LagosCityMarathon2021

Emmanuel Naebei from Kenya has emerged as the winner for this year's Lagos City Marathon powered by Access Bank.

The Kenyan crossed the finish line at Eko Atlantic to complete the 42 kilometer race which started off at the National Stadium in Surulere, in a total time of 2 hours, 11 minutes and 37 seconds.

Emmanuel comes a little short of David Barmaasi Tumo also a Kenyan, who won the Lagos City Marathon in 2 hours, 10 minutes and 20 seconds last year.

Emmanuel will receive a cash prize of $30,000 as the winner. The first and second runners-up will bag $20,000 and $15,000 respectively.

NPOWER Scheme To Deploy 2017 Beneficiaries Next Week: Here's What Applicants MUST DO

We bring great news to all the 2017 applicants of the N-Power Scheme. It is with great pleasure that the Federal Government's Social Intervention Scheme, N-Power, has announced that the 2017 beneficiaries of the scheme will be deployed and formally engaged next week .

In a statement issued via their social media handle on Twitter, the scheme stated its readiness to deploy N-Power Graduate Volunteers (Batch 2) effective from August 1, 2018.

It is to this effect that beneficiaries are to kindly note the following action points and datelines:

1. Final Selection Lists broken down in States/LGA for each of the (3) N-Power component would be circulated to ALL Focal Persons on Friday July 20, 2018.

2. We would expect the States & FCT in conjunction with all State N-Power partners are to ensure their prompt deployment to their assigned Primary Places of Assignment (PPA) on or before August 1, 2018.

These State based N-Power partners comprise but not limited to the following:

N-Teach

a. State Universal Board for Education (SUBEB)

b. State & LGA Offices for Adult Education Centres

c. State & LGA Offices for Nomadic Education

N-Agro

d. State & LGA Offices for Agriculture Development Programme (ADP)

N-Health

e. State & LGA Offices for Primary Health Care Board

3. States and FCT are expected to return Deployment Schedules to us on or before Friday August 3, 2018

4. All deployed Volunteers are to upload on their N-Power portal page their STAMPED & SIGNED Confirmation of Resumption on or before Friday August 10, 2018 in order to qualify for their first payment stipend due by August 31, 2018

5. Please note that all the successfully on-boarded and deployed final selection volunteers are engaged for a period of 2 years beginning August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2020.

Thursdaline Peter Is Teaching Women To Stand Against Domestic Violence Through Taekwondo

Self Defence advocate Thursdaline Peter, who is a Taekwondo fighter, self-defense trainer and a referee has embraced fighting domestic violence and it’s equivalents especially gender based abuses against the female gender, through her martial arts skills.

Thursdaline Peter happens to be the youngest taekwondo referee from Nigeria. She has received several awards here in Africa and across the Asian continent.

She has an academy known as Body Dynamics, she trains women to fight against domestic violence through taekwondo as a martial art. She says women should be able to stand for themselves in defence in the face of danger.

The Nigerian based self defence advocate is not limited to her academy alone, she has taken her advocacy to various secondary schools across the nation. In her own words, she said “It’s high time women were stopped being perceived as weak”.

A Mom Leaked Her Sextape With Three of Her Children On a Pedophile Website

I keep wondering what this world is turning into... I mean, how can a mother film herself having sex with her 3 children who are underaged? Why should she even sleep with her children?

She later posted the video on a pedophile website and she was discovered after an international appeal to identify a child who was being abused online on a pedophile site was filed.

US Interpol officers traced the woman's nationality through her accent and they contacted Australia's Federal Police. She was soon apprehended and she appeared in court in Newcastle at New South Wales, Australia, via audio link from prison last week and pleaded guilty to 26 child abuse offences. 

This included seven counts of sexual intercourse with a child aged under 10 which carries a maximum term of life in jail. She has admitted five counts of using a child aged under 14 to make child abuse material and five counts of inciting an indecent act on a person aged under 16.

A spokesman for New South Wales Police told the Sydney Morning Herald:

‘While the internet creates many opportunities for child predators to target children and connect with other offenders, it also presents opportunities for police to detect and target them.’

The depraved woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to reappear in court this week when a sentencing date will be finalized.
