Sahara Reporters And Its Controversial Reports: A Call For Professionalism

Sahara reporters once reported that President Buhari was on life-support and would not be able to govern Nigeria again. This information made Fayose to even make more noise that he had such pictures and would expose the state of Buhari’s health.

The same Sahara Reporters recently reported that Buhari will be back to Nigeria on 27th July 2017 after his doctors confirm him fit.

My basic question to Sahara Reporters is what should we believe or not believe again from its stories? A lot of its reports recently have been baseless, full of political sentiments and propaganda. Where is Sahara Reporters heading to? What is wrong with it now? Sahara Reporters was a more dependable and very reliable online source of news. But today, many audiences no more understand what they should believe again from Sahara based on its so many recent controversial reports. Disjointed reports, reports with no fundamental issues, poor investigative reports, reports based on sentiments and propaganda now are Sahara’s best values; a gross abuse of professionalism is what this is.

I am calling on the publisher of Sahara Reporters Mr. Omoyele Sowore to desist from creating unnecessary tension in the Nigerian already heated polity. He should revitalized Sahara Reporters and should make it to be more acceptable now that many of its audiences have lost faith in it.
